Vintage, Marchon MR-1 slot car Track, Grand Prix, 2 Cars, Power Cord, Controller

Im the original owner from when I got it for Christmas when I was 4, great shape for it's age, has different size track pieces, straight (3 sizes) S-turns, Gaurd rails, 2 cars (one needs pin replaced), a few of the track pieces are missing 1 of the 3 plastic tabs but still snap in tight. All the track pieces and supports, power cord, 2 remotes, 2 cars, Gaurd rails, etc. I plugged it in and set up a small oval circuit and couldn't get it to work but I don't know anything about slot car tracks, maybe it needs cleaned or the cars don't work, I'm not sure.
