Please be advised that all electric slot car track rails oxidize. Even newly manufactured electric slot car track rails oxidize.That is why many manufacturers include a small piece of sandpaper in most sets to periodically rub oxidation from track rails. This is required regular maintenance and most likely will need to be done prior to using the track for the first time. Instead of using sand paper, we recommend unplugging the power pack and rubbing a Quarter Coin on the track rails as a better way to remove track rail oxidation. CAUTION: Slot Car Racing and collecting is an adult hobby and does not offer the same experience as new high tech toys and video games.
