That is why many manufacturers include a small piece of sandpaper in most sets to periodically rub oxidation from track rails. This is required regular maintenance and most likely will need to be done prior to using the track for the first time. Instead of using sand paper, we recommend unplugging the power pack and rubbing a Quarter Coin on the track rails as a better way to remove track rail oxidation.
