Aurora-AFX-M. M. Daytona 880 HO Scale Electric Slot Car Racing Set. 1973

The ever elusive "Daytona 880" HO scale electric racing set. Set is complete with the exception of the cars.

This is a 1973' 4-tier race set with 24' of exciting speed-lok race track that sets up in a 3 1/2' X 5 1/2' space. There is a 2 1/2' section of banked "S" curves (2-pieces make up the S curve) and is the highlight of the track as far as I'm concerned! Track pieces have had the rails lightly sanded, had the grooves vacuumed, been cleaned with alcohol, and continuity tested. Power pack still pumping out 18.45-18.75 volts. Russkit controllers still working as they should and the terminal strip I left wired to the power pack and controllers.

I got this set in 1974 as a young teenager and it has been neatly stored since I joined the military. I sincerely hope it goes to a good home!!! My parents made me wait longer than most of my friends to get a track, but when they finally got me one, they bought the "cream of the crop"!
